Two major earthquakes in Türkiye left more than 47,000 people dead with tens of thousands more injured. At least a million people have been left homeless. At least 11 Turkish cities have been completely destroyed. Throughout Southeastern Türkiye, massive reconstruction is needed to rebuild cities and towns, hospitals, houses and apartment buildings, airports, roads, power plants, water systems, sewage, school systems, communication systems, and more. This is expected to cost hundreds of billions of dollars during a 10-year period.
